Why We Don’t Accept Insurance for Premarital Counseling

Premarital counseling is an investment in your future, focused on personal growth, relationship-building, and proactive communication—not the treatment of a diagnosable mental health condition. Because insurance companies typically require a diagnosis and documented “medical necessity” to cover services, premarital counseling is not eligible for reimbursement. By not billing insurance, we’re able to offer a more personalized, flexible, and confidential experience that puts your relationship—not a diagnosis—at the center of our work together.

Our Approach to Premarital Counseling in Missoula

Welcome to our premarital counseling program, specifically designed for engaged couples using the Prepare/Enrich assessment. We believe that investing in your relationship before you say "I do" is a powerful choice that can set the foundation for a successful and lasting marriage.

The Prepare/Enrich assessment is a comprehensive tool that evaluates key areas of your relationship, such as communication, conflict resolution, finances, family dynamics, and more. By identifying both your strengths and

areas for improvement, this assessment acts as a roadmap to help enhance

communication and resolve conflicts effectively.

Our counseling program includes several sessions where we’ll guide you through the

assessment, review your results together, and provide practical tools and strategies to

strengthen your bond. Our experienced counselors will tailor each session to your

specific needs and goals, ensuring you’re well-prepared for a fulfilling marriage.

We offer a safe and supportive space for you and your partner to explore sensitive topics,

share concerns, and align your aspirations. We emphasize open communication, mutual

respect, and active participation from both partners, fostering a healthy and positive

environment for growth.
