If you’re feeling stuck in familiar patterns or longing for deeper connection, you don’t have to navigate it alone. Seeking support can feel vulnerable, and my goal is to create a space where you feel safe, seen, and accepted as you move through life’s challenges. I view therapy as a collaborative process, where we work together while honoring that you are the expert in your own life. I show up as an active and engaged participant in our work, creating space for authenticity, curiosity, and growth. Trust is central to the therapeutic relationship, and I strive to build a foundation that feels compassionate, affirming, and supportive. I have worked with individuals across the lifespan and have experience working with clients presenting with anxiety, depression, trauma, self-doubt, low self-worth, perfectionism, relationship challenges, as well as the stressors that build up in everyday life. My approach is rooted in an attachment-based and emotion-focused lens, with attention to somatic and body-based experiences. Emotions often carry valuable information, and healing frequently involves learning to sit with discomfort, cultivate acceptance, and develop more compassionate ways of responding to ourselves. Early relationships can strongly shape how we relate to ourselves and others, and gently exploring these patterns can open the door to deeper healing and meaningful change. Everyone deserves to feel seen and valued, and I am committed to creating a welcoming, affirming space for all identities. It is an honor and a privilege to be part of my clients’ stories, and I would be honored to support you in your healing journey.

Hello! Seeking counseling is a deeply personal, courageous choice, and I am so grateful for the opportunity to work with you. As a counselor, I use an Emotionally Focused Individual Therapy (EFIT) approach, which works to identify core emotions as a way of understanding our deepest needs and motivations. I believe that allowing ourselves to feel our feelings is critical for growth and healing, and like to think of every person as having their own internal well of emotional wisdom. However, through experiences such as harm, neglect, and trauma, our pathways to that well can become blocked. By working together to create an environment of trust, acceptance, and curiosity, I believe we can begin to safely reopen that pathway; process painful life experiences; and develop the tools we all need to form healthy, secure relationships with ourselves and others.    This approach has the potential to help those struggling with many varying issues. I have clinical experience working with clients who struggle with a range of concerns, including anxiety, depression, low self-worth, sexual trauma, histories of abuse, painful family relationships, and chronic experiences of loneliness. As an identity affirming counselor who believes that all people are deserving of compassion and care, I welcome individuals of all ages, sizes, abilities, ethnicities, sexualities, and genders. It is a great privilege to share in clients’ emotional vulnerability. If given the opportunity to work with you, I will honor my role as a nonjudgmental, caring source of support as we work through life’s many sorrows, joys, and complexities.

You don’t seek therapy because you want to stay stuck—you seek it because something in your life needs to change. I specialize in working with motivated individuals navigating life transitions who are ready to engage in meaningful, goal-oriented therapy. This includes people experiencing shifts in roles, career, education, relationships, or personal direction, as well as those who feel “successful” on the outside but internally overwhelmed or uncertain about what comes next. My approach is solution-focused, outcome-driven, and practical. Therapy with me is not passive. We work collaboratively to identify what’s not working, clarify clear and achievable goals, and build strategies that create measurable progress. I primarily utilize Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) alongside solution-focused interventions to help clients challenge unhelpful thinking patterns, strengthen emotional regulation, and develop skills that translate directly into everyday life. Many of my clients are in periods of transition—entering or leaving college, adjusting to civilian or professional life, redefining purpose after a major change, or intentionally choosing growth after feeling stuck. Others are individuals who value structure, accountability, and a therapist who will both support and challenge them. I believe therapy is most effective when it is active, collaborative, and intentional. Sessions are structured, goal-oriented, and tailored to your strengths rather than a one-size-fits-all approach. While therapy can involve discomfort at times, it should also feel empowering, focused, and forward-moving. If you are ready to do the work, build resilience, and move toward meaningful change—not just talk about it—I would be honored to support you in that process.

I’m Tiana Wilson, a licensed clinical social worker, certified premarital counselor, and the founder of Peaks and Valleys Therapy, which I launched in 2019 with a heartfelt mission: to help individuals and couples feel more deeply connected to themselves and to each other. I specialize in Emotionally Focused Therapy (EFT)—a powerful, evidence-based approach that helps couples identify and shift the emotional patterns keeping them stuck. Whether you're hoping to change long-standing relationship dynamics, build stronger communication, or deepen your connection, my work centers on guiding you toward meaningful, lasting transformation. At the core of Peaks and Valleys Therapy is the belief that we are all wired for connection—that we are meant to be known, to know others deeply, and to feel safe in that vulnerability. My role is to help create a space where you can be fully seen, heard, and understood in your relationships. Whether you're facing conflict, navigating life transitions, or simply want to strengthen your bond, therapy offers an opportunity to grow closer while honoring both the highs and lows—the peaks and valleys—of life together. Couples counseling and premarital counseling aren’t just for those who are married or engaged—they’re for anyone wanting to build a more secure, fulfilling partnership. That could mean preparing to move in together, growing your family, or making a deeper commitment. I'm here to support the conversations that matter, even when they feel difficult—because those are often the ones that bring the most clarity, healing, and connection. Therapy is an investment in your future self and the life you’re building together. Thank you for considering me to be part of that journey. Credentials & Professional Affiliations: Licensed Clinical Social Worker Certified Premarital Counseling Facilitator Member, National Association of Social Workers Member, Montana Emotionally Focused Therapy Member, The International Centre for Excellence in Emotionally Focused Therapy (ICEEFT)
